Dungeons & Dragons
Teen Therapy group

Is your high schooler facing challenges like anxiety, depression, social skills, or task management? Your teen might be a fit for our Dungeons and Dragons Teen Therapy Group led by Megan Guidry, LMFT.

The game's creative role-play and rule structure help teens develop social skills, emotional regulation, and executive functioning. This group is beneficial for those struggling with friendships, neurodiversity, unique learning styles, or intense emotional experiences.

How It Works:
• Participants must be in 9th-12th grade.
• Groups run for 12 week periods with sessions held in Spring, Summer, and Fall
• We meet Sundays in-office from 3-430pm.
• We offer a full 12-week package for $600 or a 9-week package for $450.

Or call Megan Guidry directly to complete a brief screening and get scheduled.

Our process—

What is therapy like?

Step one —

Reach out for a free consultation.

Your journey begins by filling out our contact form. Then get ready for your free consultation call where we’ll uncover your needs, tackle any questions, and match you with one of our amazing therapists. Once you book your first session you’ll need to fill out some necessary paperwork through our online portal, Simple Practice.

Step two —

Make the most of your first session.

Here we go! Your first session is right on the horizon, whether it's in person at our office or virtually through telehealth. It's not just a meeting—it's a grand introduction where we'll dive into your world, breeze through some formalities, and sow the seeds to your treatment goals.

Step Three —

Gain and grow through your journey.

Therapy will provide tools and opportunities for you to bloom into the most authentic version of yourself. Sessions can vary based on your specific needs for the day, and we're here to meet you where you're at. You may experience some growing pains during this time, which may feel overwhelming or frustrating—but we're here to support you through it all.

Step four —

Practice, practice, practice what you're learning.

Even though it may not be the most glamorous part of the journey, sticking to your plan is the sunlight and water that your new found tools need to take root. Between our sessions, be mindful of practicing your new skills. Through practice, you're turning those tools into everyday wins!

Step five —

Maintain and thrive using your new skills.

At this point, your skills have blossomed and you have noticed significant change towards your goals in treatment. You might find yourself moving to less frequent sessions now that you have grown and are more hardy and resilient. Good job nourishing a beautiful mental landscape!

Complete your journey —

Succeed in your goals and flourish.

You've now deeply incorporated your skills into your day-to-day and reached the closing of this chapter. Take a moment to reflect on your achievement! Remember, this isn't a goodbye; you're always welcome back for a little pruning or to address any new concerns that sprout up in life.

Imagine that you’re standing on the side of the road of life, stranded, your metaphorical car a steaming wreck and you now have to figure out how to fix it in the middle of nowhere. You have limited tools, it might be darker than it’s ever been, and you’ve never felt more stuck. That’s when you would call me, the “life mechanic” and I’d work with you to figure out how to get you going where you’d like to again. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a passion for guiding individuals, teens, young adults, and couples through the challenges and transitions that life brings. Since 2018, I have been dedicated to providing therapeutic support and fully recognize the strength it takes to seek counseling in the first place, asking for help can be really challenging and I’m honored to provide it.

Life can be hard at times. Whether our families and friends see it, or it’s something we silently struggle with, handling it alone can be brutal. In my office, you are the expert on your life, but sometimes it can help to get a non-biased, compassionate outside perspective to look at the roadblocks in your way. I will support you as we identify tools needed to work towards your goals. I have experience in a wide array of therapeutic settings and have a broad spectrum of skills to build upon. After becoming a parent myself, I am passionate about supporting new parents on their challenging journey into parenthood. I also enjoy working with couples, individuals of all ages, and family systems. I love what I do and am very committed to providing a genuine and authentic experience for my clients. I look forward to seeing you grow!

In this moment, you are taking the courageous step to reclaim a sense of well-being. Taking time to focus on ourselves and our relationships is an easily forgotten task and this can lead to patterns in our lives we are not completely satisfied with. I’m here to help change this story, to work together to help you become the person, partner, friend, child, or parent you really want to be. Your authentic and true self. I work with all ages, individually or as a family. I utilize a mindfulness centered narrative approach and believe in the empowering effect of education, body-brain cohesion, and goal oriented interventions. For the littles (and sometimes the bigs), I incorporate play therapy based interventions including the balance of nurture and structure, movement, sand tray, and sensory awareness.
